The Entrepreneur's Prayer

The Entrepreneur’s Prayer

As I awaken with the gift of yet another day and prepare for the tasks at hand, I offer up this most ardent prayer:

I pray for continued clarity of purpose so that I may hold my vision steady and keep my focus on the needs and success of others, which in turn shall bring me my success.

I pray for the wisdom to expect abundance in my life, that it surrounds me and is available for the taking and to be shameless and unapologetic upon its receipt, for I deserve abundance.

I pray for a cheerful countenance, be it clear or cloudy skies and that I may radiate and infect others with my positive attitude.I pray for the trust of others that they may recognize my sincerity and true intentions so that we may move forward together.

I pray for the strength to fend off adversity and use my desire and determination as both weapon and shield.

I pray for the courage to carry forth my convictions during the battle of business and to resist temptation to a quicker monetary result when such temptation compromises these things for which I stand.

I pray that I may be used as a lightning rod to collect the amazing ideas already present in the universe and when blessed with such inspiration, that I may be able to apply my talents and abilities to turn the power of thought into measurable advancement of my goals.

I pray to retain my childhood wonder so that I can recognize and revel in the small miracles of each day that others may miss.

I pray for an infinite supply of self-confidence for it alone fortifies faith, strengthens my resolve and conquers the largest enemy I will ever face - fear.

I pray for a compassionate spirit and the patience to offer those who seek my advice and my help, my full and undivided attention.

I pray for good health and a feeling of well being, and the continued desire to improve those areas of my physical life I may be neglecting in the name of my spiritual and entrepreneurial advancement.I pray that today is a day of excellence and at its conclusion I can acknowledge and be grateful for the forward motion I have made and the growth I have experienced.

I pray most of all for the understanding and support of those closest to my heart, my family, that they will equate what may seem like endless hours of apparent pre-occupation with affairs of business to what is at the very core of my being, that which drives me, for once I achieve what I have set out in its fullest, I will become that more complete being I strive to be.It is for these things that I pray, for I am an entrepreneur.

Doubt - Changing Our Way Of Thinking Into Productivity When Faced With Doubt

Doubt - Changing Our Way Of Thinking Into Productivity When Faced With Doubt
By Donna Marie Laino

"Doubt, of whatever kind, can be ended by action alone." Thomas Carlyle, Philosopher and Author

Doubt can really bring you down and stop you in your tracks. It can stop you for a long period of time and sometimes for good.

Have you ever wanted to do something and then never do it or stopped before it was done because you doubted yourself? Perhaps someone said something to you and then you felt like something just zapped all the energy for that goal or project right out of you?

The balloon of your dreams, your vision, or your pride just was deflated.

Many times this happens in our lives. Many times the words of other people who just do not understand or may be even jealous get in our way.

It immobilizes us.

Fear takes over and we just stop.

There goes our dreams, hopes for a better future and a disappointment to family, friends, and ourselves settles in.

There is good news for this dilemma. It is simple and direct.

Just start.

Take action and move toward the goal instead of moving away from it. Most people do not even realize that this simple step will change their lives forever.

Here are some things to remember:

  • Doubt will turn to fear instantly if you let it
  • Fear will paralyze you if you let it
  • The head chatter or what other people say does not matter
  • Write your goal and read it several times a day
  • Write the steps needed to achieve your goal
  • Keep a vision board and see it several times a day
  • Take action

Doubt in its true form will feed into a disbelief system, which will always cause hesitation and even an abandonment of a worthy ideal. Like the Nike sneaker ad says, "Just do it!"

The Secret to Overcoming the Five Biggest Time Wasters of All
By Ruth Klein

The time you waste will drain you of your energies and your profits in this high-charged era of work and life. Here's how to take fast action to overcome the five top ways we waste our time.

TIME WASTER #1: CHECKING YOUR EMAIL FIRST

Why? Checking your e-mail the very first thing in the morning takes you off track. The nature of those e-mails also may serve to increase your anxiety and stress.

ACTION PLAN:

Check your e-mail an hour or more AFTER you start your day to keep you on track. At that point, you'll be well into your Action Items and can more easily prioritize those emails into your day's plan.

TIME WASTER #2: KEEPING YOUR CELL PHONE ON 24/7

Why? The more often you answer your cell phone or check to see who has called during your day, the more behind you become at work.

ACTION PLAN:

Keep your cell phone off during the day, checking it only at a scheduled time you control, to get back your working plan. Ditto for the weekends, so that you can truly relax.

TIME WASTER #3: STAYING BUSY DOING, BUT NOT PLANNING

Why? Staying busy, but not devoting time to thinking and planning, can leave you feeling disorganized and out of control, and bring your stress levels to the boiling point.

ACTION PLAN:

Schedule at least 5-10 minutes each day to STOP, THINK, PLAN and then EXECUTE. When you feel overwhelmed, ask yourself, "What is the Best Use of My Time Right Now?" Write it down and then stick with your written plan.

TIME WASTER #4: LEAVING NO TIME FOR EXERCISE

Why? Exercise provides oxygen to you brain to help you think more clearly and more creatively. Leaving no time for exercise drains your brainpower, as well as your energies.

ACTION PLAN:

Deep Breath. Exercise. Deep Breath. Stretch. Deep Breath. Take a quick walk. Schedule time each day to exercise, and leave your cell phone off to avoid interruptions.

TIME WASTER #5: WORKING AGAINST YOUR NATURAL ENERGY LEVEL

Why? If you're not taking advantage of your PEAK ENERGY TIME, you are wasting time and energy.

ACTION PLAN:

If you're a morning person, then that's your peak energy time. If it's afternoons, then afternoon's are your peak energy time. Do those activities that require the most concentration during whichever peak energy time is your preference. That is when you feel most energized. Do low-energy tasks at other times.
